As a lover of tangerine tango, the color of the year, I am excited with luscious combinations of orange, coral and tomato red. Though I can’t dress myself totally in an orange outfit (think pumpkin), I can pull orange, coral, pink, red and neutrals together and love the combo. Much can be said about how our fashion sense is also an inspiration for our interiors. I follow a fabulous blog, You Look Fab, and recently this combo was featured with my current favorite color combo.

Then some serendipity appeared in the form of the Architectural Digest archives with this image of the home of George Stephanopoulos and Ali Wentworth.  (Interior Design by John Barman, ASID |Text by Wendy Moonan |Photography by Scott Frances)

Per the designer, John Barman,  ”Using bright colors and strong stylized furniture, I created a contemporary residence with a 1940s French feel.” Notice the large sofa is neutral as are the walls… much as you would do for an outfit.  Enjoy comparing the fashion and the interior.
