Written by faith | 0

Blissful, restful sleep, in the opinion of this Interior Designer in Seattle, WA begins with bedding. Yes the appearance of the bedroom is ever so helpful too but start with the bedding, please! Many options exist  to transform a basic bedroom into one for luxurious sleep. And do take advantage of special sale opportunities with well-known companies when available.  So I am pleased to share this link from my friend, Kathy Dessonville of The Linen Gallery who has a special promotion. The Linen Closet: What’s in and What’s out?

Written by faith | 0

Since turning my clock this weekend I am confronting winter. I love the daylight and crisper air but it’s time for more bedcoverings.  So this expert Seattle interior designer reexamined  her bed linens.  They look tired or maybe it’s just that I can’t get the bedding I saw at Williams Sonoma Home in Portland out of my head. Here’s what  I’m imagining.

Silk Blanket

The idea of a silk blanket which combines  plushness, light weight and exceptional insulation sounds luxurious.  I see the soft blue.  But of course I will sleep so soundly with these Chambers sheets.

Chambers Bedding

And the final touch for the bedroom (and my living room sofa) is a cashmere throw.

Need to reorganize your linen closet? Do it now. The holidays are around the corner. Here’s a helpful hint:

  • Empty the entire closet and weed out all extraneous items.
  • Keep a separate pile of items you don’t use very often.
  • Consider donating old towels and linens to animal shelters.
